The Ostfriesische Tee Gesellschaft, Germany's largest producer of tea, has been delivering a premium tea with the brandname Meßmer since 1852. At the end of the 19th century, Meßmer Tea was a purveyor to the Royal Court of Emperor Wilhelm I. Already then, Meßmer tea counted as a royal treat.
Since those days, the per capita consumption of tea has steadily increased. The reasons for this lie mainly in the increasing variety of available teas, an immense offer of specialities, the wellness trend, and in the increasing health consciousness of consumers and their guests.
Today, under the subbrand "Meßmer ProfiLine", Meßmer supplies a comprehensive product range exclusively for restaurants and the hotel sector. Selected top-quality teas are offered, including the classic black and green teas, as well as modern herbal and fruit tea specialities. All of these are provided in market and requirements-oriented packaging, such as loose leaf tea, pre-packed portions of loose leaf tea in a tea caddy, and of course individual portions in tea bags, with or without envelope.
